A Resource Guide and Online Directory of Support Staff

A Government of Alberta funded initiative

The Pandemic has caused challenges for Civil Society and the Honorable Minister of Community and Social Services is committed to supporting an effective lasting recovery. The Minister is pleased to fund an Alberta-wide Online Caregivers Directory - a resource guide that can be used by individuals, families, or organizations to find and hire the right support staff to provide care for their loved ones or their clients.

It is important that all special needs individuals get the right support worker. The online Resource Directory is the general database that is not specific to families or organizations and could be used by all dealing with special needs individuals. The directory is a one-stop networking window to caregiving, support workers, families, and organizations involved with the disability sector.

This directory is going to be available to all individuals and all organizations in the disability sector. There is no cost to be included in the directory.

Support workers who would like to be included in the directory database, please provide your industry-specific details such as your contact, education, work experience, etc.

Organizations are requested to provide us with contact details of support workers hired by them directly or through sub-contractual arrangements for us to coordinate with those support workers and include them in the database.

Above & Beyond Caregivers Association, a not-for-profit organization based out of Calgary has been responsible for putting together this Online Directory. For further details on the Above & Beyond Caregivers Association, please visit www.abassociation.ca.
